Travel

"To Rest is Not to Conquer"

My wife, Margaret, and I have been quite fortunate to have the ability and desire to travel. Since we met over twenty years ago, we have visited nearly every state together (and both of us have all 50!), dozens of national parks, most of the great cities of North America, and many cities and sites in Europe.

Travel has greatly enriched our lives, and it has been a great way to tie in many wonderful aspects of geography, including culture, food, history, art, photographer, and urban planning and landscape architecture.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime."

                                                                                                Mark Twain
